Happening Today!

Join us and over 200 participants and experts from across the regions for the IBC-CONNECT conference on extending social health protection towards UHC. The event will feature the launch of the first-ever regional report on social health protection systems in Asia and the Pacific.

The Issue-Based Coalition (IBC) on Empowerment and Inclusion, with the support of ILO, UNESCAP, UNICEF and UNFPA  in partnership with CONNECT – are organizing the first regional conference on the extension of social health protection towards UHC. The aim of the event, scheduled 07 (today!) and the 9 of December is to chart the way towards achieving universal health coverage and provide a roadmap for the future of social health protection in the region.

The conference will feature a high-level segment on 7 December for the launch of a compendium of social health protection systems in Asia and the Pacific, compiled by the ILO and technical working sessions on 9 December on strategies to sustainably expand coverage and adequacy of protection.

We anticipate welcoming over 200 participants from countries that are striving towards the extension of social health protection, as well as development partners, regional bodies and financing institutions, workers and employers’ organizations, academia and civil society.
